Will the bags under my eyes grow after I have cut them?

Before getting rid of under-eye bags, candidates should understand one thing first: “Once you have one eye bag surgery, you will be done once and for all and can manage for the rest of your life.” Actually, it is not. Eye bags may appear again due to incomplete eye bag surgery, inadequate post-operative care and normal aging. To give you an example: to have an internal eye bag removal, the incision is located inside the conjunctiva, and the central and medial fat globules are mainly removed during the surgery to slow down the pressure of the fat on the lower eyelid skin. During the surgery, if there is fat residue or incomplete fat removal, it can cause post-operative fat bulge, called “recurrence”. Some candidates ask: Is it true that the more fat is removed from the eye bags, the less likely it is to recur? Some candidates will say, you can help me to remove more fat to maintain more years. In some cases, the bags are indeed bulging, but the tear trough at the orbital rim underneath the bags, it has a clear depression, at this time we do not advocate more fat removal. If it is simply a fat bulging type of eye bags, suction until the flattening is the main thing, which is the best. The surgeon will have a preliminary diagnosis of his patient, and he will give you a suitable plan for you, no matter from aesthetic criteria or clinical experience, as well as facial anatomy. At present, eye bag removal surgery is no longer just the removal of fat, it has been greatly improved, and the different manifestations need to be corrected with the appropriate methods, making the effect of eye bag surgery more lasting. For example, what if there are bags under the eyes and tear troughs, accompanied by mid-facial laxity? Probably the most heard by the candidates is – “orbital septum release method to remove eye bags”, which can remove eye bags and flatten tear trough at the same time. If you also want to solve the problem of midface laxity, you can try the “lower lid margin incision method to remove eye bags”. Look at this patient, the before and after photos, the results are not bad, right? For the complications that the patient is worried about, such as lid ectropion, the procedure has been improved – the skin and tissue flaps of the lower eyelid area are lifted and fixed separately to achieve a more desirable result of removing eye bags. Aging is irreversible, we can only make it come “a little later” through some methods.
