Considering the special physiology and immune status of pregnant women and the potential impact on the fetus, China’s Technical Guideline for Vaccination against New Coronavirus (First Edition) lists pregnancy as a contraindication to vaccination against New Coronavirus, and therefore pregnant women are not eligible for vaccination against New Coronavirus. Pregnant women are in a special physiological state and their immunity is worse than that of non-pregnant women, making them susceptible to the new coronavirus. However, since the safety of the NCCV vaccine for pregnant women and their fetuses cannot be determined, we recommend that this group of women hold off on vaccination. Pregnant women are advised to protect themselves by staying out of crowded public places as much as possible. Wear a mask when you go out and wash your hands frequently to disinfect yourself to reduce the probability of contracting New Coronavirus. If pregnancy is discovered after vaccination against Newcastle pneumonia, special medical measures (e.g., termination of pregnancy) due to Newcastle pneumonia vaccination alone are not recommended, and good pregnancy checkups and follow-up are recommended. If a vaccination program is started in the case of an unknown pregnancy but the follow-up vaccination is not completed, it is recommended to withhold the follow-up vaccination until delivery and complete the vaccine catch-up after delivery.
