What is cervical mycoplasma infection

Mycoplasma infection of the cervix is one of the more common cervicovaginal infections in women. Patients with mycoplasma infection may have increased leukorrhea, which is yellow or yellow-green in color and may have a foul odor if combined with bacterial infection. The patient’s cervix may be locally congested and edematous, and may be accompanied by discomfort such as cramping in the abdomen and back pain. In this case the patient must be treated, either with oral azithromycin, roxithromycin or levofloxacin, or with intravenous fluids. If the patient is in a position to do a drug sensitivity test, a more sensitive antibiotic can be selected for targeted treatment when doing a drug sensitivity test. The treatment of mycoplasma cervicalis usually takes 7-10 days, and can be done by putting in vaginal pessary of compound curcuma oil, povidone pessary or bitter ginseng gel and other Chinese medicine to clear the heat and detoxify the toxin.
