How long does it take to recover from implant surgery?

The recovery time of implant surgery varies depending on the implant method and cannot be generalized. At present, the main methods of skin grafting surgery include skin grafting and skin flaps. In general, if the wound has good circulation and only skin or nerve membrane damage, it can be treated by autologous skin grafting. Depending on the area of the wound and the location, the time for complete recovery will vary, generally taking a few weeks to a few months; if the wound is deeper and is a wound with exposed tissues such as bones, joints, nerves, tendons, etc., a skin flap graft is required, and the healing recovery time will take about 2 weeks to 2 months. During the recovery period, we must pay attention to disinfecting and changing the wound skin and keeping the surrounding skin dry to avoid wound infection. In case of skin grafting for joints and other parts of the body, you should also do functional exercises under the guidance of your doctor to prevent skin stiffness and scar formation, which will eventually affect joint function. In addition, maintaining a good mood and good living and eating habits will also help the recovery of the disease.
