Usually, the golden resuscitation time for cardiac arrest is within 4 minutes. Cardiac arrest refers to the sudden cessation or loss of cardiac ejection function due to unanticipated causes. Once cardiac arrest occurs, various organs and tissues throughout the body will suffer from different degrees of ischemia, which in turn will lead to dysfunction of various organs and tissues, as well as different degrees of damage and necrosis, the most important of which is brain cell death. Within 4 minutes of cardiac arrest is the golden time for resuscitation, more than 4 minutes may result in irreversible brain damage, and longer cardiac arrest may result in brain death. There are cases of cardiac arrest for more than half an hour where resuscitation was started and was successful after active resuscitation.
