How to use the lap band for cesarean and normal delivery respectively?

For mothers with normal delivery, it is not recommended to use a lap band immediately after delivery, especially in the puerperium. This is because if a mother’s abdomen is squeezed by external forces for a long time during the puerperium, the increased abdominal pressure will act on the pelvic floor tissues and ligaments, weakening their strength to support the pelvic organs and increasing the risk of sagging and retroflexion of the reproductive organs (such as the uterus) that are pulled by them. Therefore, it is more appropriate to use the lap band after the puerperium period (i.e. 6 weeks after delivery), when the dew has been discharged and the uterus has descended into the pelvic cavity and returned to the unpregnant state. For mothers after cesarean section, the biggest function of the belly band is to help fix the wound and reduce the pain of the abdominal wound when moving, and the body trimming is only an additional function. Currently, it is believed that the lap band can be used after cesarean section, usually for 1 to 2 weeks, when the wound is no longer painful. If you want to recover your body shape better, you can continue to use it after the puerperium. Wearing the method has to be careful long time (24 hours a day), long-term (the whole year) use of lap band, may bring certain adverse reactions, such as affecting blood circulation, especially the inferior vena cava resistance increased, leading to varicose veins in the lower extremities, hemorrhoids, etc., or make intestinal peristalsis slow, leading to appetite loss or constipation. Therefore, it is recommended that the use of belly band time should be controlled within six months, preferably half an hour after meals, after urination to wear, half an hour before meals to take off. And should be used intermittently, loose and tight, in order to reach into a finger is appropriate. Do not wear at night when you sleep.
