Neurodermatitis: also known as chronic lichen simplex, can cause dry, mossy, scaly skin on the elbow, and can be accompanied by severe itching. After clear diagnosis, topical halometasone cream and tacrolimus ointment can be used. When itching is severe, oral medication such as ebastine and levocetirizine is needed to relieve itching. 2. Ringworm: Fungal infections of the elbow can lead to localized skin erythema, papules, flaking, itching and so on.
