Removal of large nucleus pulposus by percutaneous intervertebral foraminoscopy

A 32-year-old female patient with radiating pain in the left lower extremity for several months, left lower extremity straight leg raising test of 20 degrees (+), MRI: huge prolapsed disc in lumbar 5 sacral 1, left-sided, compressing the nerve. The patient underwent percutaneous foraminoscopic nucleus pulposus removal under local anesthesia with a 5-mm incision, during which the huge nucleus pulposus was removed and the patient’s left lower extremity pain was relieved immediately.
