Depressed scars left by children’s mole spotting can be partially flattened. Smaller and superficial scars can recover on their own, while larger scars need medication or physical therapy to alleviate them and require daily care.
Children often have raised or depressed scars after mole spotting. Because of the high collagen content, fast metabolism and strong repair ability of children’s skin, small and superficial scars can be repaired on their own, but larger and deeper depressed scars need to be treated in a timely manner.
Medication can be used externally with epidermal growth factor, polysulfonic acid mucopolysaccharide cream, cumulonimbus cream ointment and other medications to improve the symptoms of depression, which requires a longer period of time to use the medication. Physical therapy methods are more common, commonly used are microneedling, fractional laser therapy. These treatments are usually painful and require parents to cooperate with their children.
In addition to the timely treatment of depressed scars after mole spotting, children need to pay attention to avoid breaking the scars, usually eat less spicy and stimulating food, and avoid sun exposure. Drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
