Do you know about kidney prolapse?

The normal position of the kidneys is on either side of the first and second lumbar vertebrae; if the position of the kidneys drops, it is called renal prolapse. Kidney prolapse usually occurs in thin and tall people, and is more common in women than men. It may seem that prolapsed kidneys have little effect on health, but it is not known that serious prolapsed kidneys can cause distortion of the ureter and induce hydronephrosis, which can damage the function of the kidneys. So, how can I find out my kidney has prolapsed? When the kidney is prolapsed, the ureter below the kidney will be twisted and the urine will be blocked, which will easily cause urinary tract infection and symptoms such as frequent urination and urinary urgency. When the kidney prolapses, the lower back of the prolapsed side often has inexplicable soreness, which is aggravated after exertion, walking and standing for a long time. It is relieved or disappears when lying down. Third, due to the prolapse of the kidney, the amplitude of activity increases, and when the patient walks, the kidney vibrates up and down, which can cause the blood vessels of the kidney to be stretched or even twisted, causing blood stasis in the kidney and inducing hematuria. In milder cases of renal prolapse, the urine needs to be tested several times before it can be detected. Fourth, gastrointestinal symptoms of the prolapsed kidney due to the pull and stimulation of the surrounding nerves, so that the stimulated nerve reflexes are disturbed, causing digestive disorders, resulting in indigestion, epigastric distention, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, etc.. Once the above “red light” lights up, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible in order to get timely treatment. Mild renal prolapse can be treated with a kidney brace or canvas belt, and the belt is tied tightly in the head-down position to keep the kidney in a higher position to reduce the kidney’s activity. For severe renal prolapse, the possibility of surgery should be considered by the doctor according to the diagnosis.
