Encephalitis B vaccine is a vaccine used to prevent epidemic encephalitis B. Inactivated encephalitis B vaccine belongs to Class II vaccine, which needs to be paid for by oneself. 8-month-old children need to be vaccinated with two doses, with an interval of 7~10 days between the two doses, and then one dose each at the age of 2 weeks and 6 years old. The live attenuated encephalitis B vaccine is a Class I vaccine and is free of charge. Children at 8 months of age receive one dose, and the second dose is given at 2 weeks of age.
People who are allergic to the vaccine, suffering from acute or chronic diseases with acute seizures, and people suffering from epilepsy, brain and other neurological disorders are prohibited from receiving the vaccine, and may experience localized pain, redness, swelling, dizziness, rash and other discomforts after receiving the vaccine.
Parents are advised to take their children to the doctor promptly if they experience discomfort after vaccination.
