The functional exercises for meniscal injury and synovitis are mainly contraction exercises for the patella and strength exercises for the muscles around the knee joint. 1. Straighten the knee joint on the sofa or bed, then tense the thigh muscles to pull the patella to slide upward, and then relax the patella. By contracting and relaxing the quadriceps muscle to drive the patella to slide up and down, promote the inflammation of the knee joint to subside and promote the disappearance of effusion. 2, strength exercises, mainly straight leg raise, on the sofa or bed to straighten the knee joint, then hook the back of the foot and slowly lift the leg to 45 °. During the whole process of raising the leg the knee joint is kept straight, the thigh muscles and calf muscles are tight, after lifting to 45° maintain a few seconds, you can count from 1 to 10, then gradually put on the bed, rest for 3 seconds and repeat the straight leg raise. Each exercise should take at least 15-30 minutes from contraction of the patella to straight leg raise, 3-4 times/day.
