It is not usually necessary to see a doctor, but if the lipoma grows or grows rapidly, if you feel pain, redness or heat, if the lipoma becomes hard or less mobile, if you notice some changes visible to the naked eye, you can see a doctor. A surgical sample is taken for pathology to rule out other tumours.
