Abdominal pain during defecation may be a normal phenomenon, or it may be caused by pathological factors such as acute gastroenteritis, ulcerative colitis, proctitis, irritable bowel syndrome, tumors and so on. 1. Normal phenomenon: pain in the abdomen during defecation may be caused by fast peristalsis of the intestinal tube, causing local muscle spasm of the intestinal tube, if the stool is shaped and there is no mucus, pus and blood stool, diarrhea, fever and other symptoms, then it is considered a normal phenomenon. 2. Pathological factors (1) Acute gastroenteritis: mostly related to viral, bacterial, parasitic infections or eating cold and irritating foods, which can cause pain in the abdomen during bowel movement. (2) Ulcerative colitis: mostly related to intestinal flora disorders, immune abnormalities and other factors, mainly manifested as paroxysmal pain in the lower abdomen, can also be accompanied by mucus, pus and blood stools and other symptoms, defecation can cause significant pain in the abdomen, the symptom can be alleviated after defecation. (3) proctitis: these patients have inflammatory lesions in the intestines, and the peristalsis of the intestines increases during defecation, which causes abdominal pain due to the irritation of the intestinal mucosa. It can also be accompanied by mucus stools and bloody stools. (4) Irritable bowel syndrome: these patients have gastrointestinal dysfunction, relatively frequent defecation, which may be accompanied by different degrees of abdominal pain during defecation. (5) Tumor: If the tumor cells of rectal cancer and colon cancer invade the intestinal tract, the stimulation of the lesion during defecation can cause pain in the abdomen, which can be accompanied by symptoms such as poor defecation and blood in stool. If the symptoms of abdominal pain during defecation occur repeatedly for a long time, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time, complete the examination of stool routine and gastroenteroscopy, etc., and find out the cause of the disease and treat it positively, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
