Cervical hypertrophy can be restored to normal, but it cannot be restored on its own and requires professional treatment under the guidance of a doctor before it can be restored to normal. Cervical hypertrophy is due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, which causes congestion and edema of the cervical tissue, hyperplasia of the glands and interstitium, retention of mucus in the deep part of the glands, formation of cysts, causing the cervix to show different degrees of hypertrophy and increased hardness. Once the cervical hypertrophy is formed, the hyperplastic glands and interstitium cannot shrink and cannot return to normal naturally and must be treated surgically. If the cervical hypertrophy is due to a cyst, the cyst needs to be surgically removed in order to recover. In the case of cervical hypertrophy due to glandular hyperplasia, cervical conization surgery is required to reduce the size of the hypertrophied cervix. Simple cervical hypertrophy does not require special treatment clinically, but regular cervical cancer screening, including HPV and TCT, can be done. Cervical hypertrophy is mostly accompanied by symptoms of increased leucorrhea, back pain and abdominal pain. If the above symptoms appear, you should visit the gynecology department of a regular hospital and give reasonable treatment to avoid delaying the disease.
