How to treat bronchiectasis hemoptysis

Hemoptysis is a common complication of respiratory diseases, and there are two common clinical treatments: 1) conservative medical treatment, and 2) surgical treatment. The former is generally curable for patients with a small amount of hemoptysis and a short history of the disease through conservative medical treatment, while the latter can achieve a clinical cure for patients with frequent and recurrent hemoptysis by surgical removal of local lobes. However, for patients with clinically extensive hemoptysis in one lung or even both lungs with bleeding lesions, it is difficult to achieve clinical cure by choosing either of the above two methods of treatment. Currently, interventional therapy – transcatheter bronchial artery embolization for hemoptysis – has become a clinically recognized fast and effective method to stop hemoptysis, especially for patients with frequent and recurrent hemoptysis or with multiple hemorrhagic lesions in both lungs, and the clinical treatment advantages are more obvious. In addition, for patients with hemoptysis caused by lung cancer, embolization of the lung cancer mass is also performed at the same time, which can be said as “killing two birds with one stone” (in fact, this is also a common clinical interventional treatment method for lung cancer). Over the past 20 years, we have developed a whole set of treatment methods through the treatment and clinical experience of transcatheter bronchial artery embolization for hemoptysis, namely, intravascular injection of hemostatic drugs into the lung hemorrhage lesion through the arterial catheter, and then embolization of the lung hemorrhage artery by using our own processed medical high-pressure gelatin sponge particles, which has achieved The clinical treatment effect is very good. Its selection of materials and treatment methods: 1, minimally invasive, 2, safe, 3, fast, 4, thorough, 5, fast recovery, 6, few complications, 8, low cost of treatment and other advantages.
