How long does it take to get an ultrasound?

An ultrasound should usually be done at around 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. After the sperm and egg have united to form a fertilized egg, it takes some time to settle and mitigate. It can usually develop to the point where it can be seen on ultrasound at around 5-6 weeks of pregnancy, when the first ultrasound can be performed to clarify whether it is an early intrauterine pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy. The next ultrasound can be performed around 7-8 weeks of pregnancy to clarify the presence of a fetal bud and fetal heart. Then another ultrasound is performed around 12 weeks of pregnancy to clarify if the NT value is normal as part of the early Down’s syndrome screening. After that, you can decide when to have your next ultrasound depending on the specifics of your maternity exam. Regular obstetric checkups are required during pregnancy. In addition to ultrasound, there are TORCH tests and nail function tests in early pregnancy; and Down’s syndrome screening in mid-pregnancy to determine the intrauterine condition of the fetus. If you have symptoms such as vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain during pregnancy, you must visit the obstetrics clinic in time.
