Can you recover from impaired consciousness after craniotomy for brain hemorrhage?

Impaired consciousness may return after craniotomy for cerebral hemorrhage.
Cerebral hemorrhage, also known as spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage, is usually a bleeding disorder of the brain parenchyma that is not due to trauma. If the bleeding site of the patient is in an important area such as the brainstem, or if the amount of bleeding is large, the degree of impaired consciousness after craniotomy will be more serious, and the patient may be in a state of coma and blurred consciousness for a longer period of time, and the possibility of recovering from the impaired consciousness is relatively small.
However, if the amount of cerebral hemorrhage before the operation is small and the hemorrhage is not located in the important functional area, most of the patients can gradually alleviate the consciousness disorder after the craniotomy, or even recover completely.
Regarding whether the consciousness disorder will recover after cerebral hemorrhage needs to be different from person to person, and cannot be generalized. It is recommended that patients choose regular hospitals to undergo craniotomy and be actively treated under the guidance of doctors.
