  Vestibular system injury vertigo is a common clinical condition that seriously affects the quality of life of patients. According to general statistics, vertigo disorders account for 15% of ENT outpatient visits and 5% of internal medicine visits. Vertigo makes patients fearful and poses a greater threat to them. Most patients choose neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, rehabilitation, but few can think of ENT diseases, thus, delaying treatment. According to the classification of vertigo: peripheral vertigo: 30-50%, central vertigo: 20-30%, non-systemic vertigo: 15%, unknown cause: 15-25%.  Suggestions: 1. ENT should be preferred, and medical professionals specializing in vertigo should be sought because the diagnosis of vertigo is more complicated and requires rich clinical experience and professional knowledge.  2. Patients should have a general assessment of their condition, whether they have blackness in front of the eyes, diplopia, numbness of limbs, facial numbness, impaired consciousness, speech and dysarthria, and if they have any of the above symptoms, they should consult neurology to exclude central system pathology; 3. In addition, there are still some patients whose condition is complicated and difficult to be diagnosed, so they need to be consulted and treated by ENT, neurology, cardiology and other related departments. Even for international vertigo specialists, the cause of vertigo is still unknown in 10% of cases.
