Can hypothyroidism heal on its own?

If a hypothyroid patient is in the early stages of the disease, the symptoms are mild and can usually heal on their own with self-treatment. If the disease is poorly controlled or detected late, it is difficult to heal on its own and requires appropriate treatment. Hypothyroidism is an endocrine disorder and is relatively common. Its causes usually include Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, subacute thyroiditis, etc. If the patient is in the early stage of the disease and does not have other uncomfortable symptoms, pay attention to rest and eat a regular, light diet, it can usually heal on its own. However, if the patient’s condition is not well controlled, followed by obvious symptoms such as memory loss, insomnia, and loss of appetite, it is recommended to visit the endocrinology department of the hospital and take medication such as eugenol, which can also relieve the symptoms or even cure them. In addition, it is recommended that patients pay attention to a light diet, avoid greasy and sugary foods, and maintain a balanced nutrition. At the same time, medication should be administered under the guidance of a doctor, and regular review should be conducted.
