The mortality rate of organ failure is high, and whether it can be recovered depends on the severity of the primary disease, whether the treatment is timely, the degree of urgency of the disease and the patient’s response to drug therapy, and requires specific treatment. In general, in acute organ failure, if anti-infective treatment is given as early as possible, airway is kept open, effective circulating blood volume is maintained, drugs that damage the kidneys are avoided, primary diseases are actively treated, the best time for treatment is not delayed, and the response to treatment is good, most patients can recover. In the case of chronic organ failure, if the best treatment time is missed, only symptomatic treatment is usually possible, which is difficult to cure, and organ support therapy may be required at a later stage. Therefore, in case of organ failure, patients should actively consult internal medicine and infection departments, or even require multidisciplinary joint consultation.
