Can hyperkalemia cause abdominal pain?

Hyperkalemia does not usually cause abdominal pain. The normal blood potassium range is 3.5-5.5 mmol/L. If the patient’s blood potassium is higher than 5.5 mmol/L, it is called hyperkalemia. If the blood potassium is significantly high, it may cause cardiac symptoms. It is recommended to check the electrocardiogram, if the T wave is hyperacute, it may cause heart rate change or even cardiac arrest.
