Symptoms of cytomegalovirus infection in three-month-old babies vary. Some children have no symptoms, others have fever with cough and sputum and other respiratory symptoms, some have a rash and even enlargement of the liver, spleen and lymph nodes. Some children may have liver damage, decreased diet, or even yellow sclera. Cytomegalovirus infection can only be clarified by antibody tests, and if diagnosed as cytomegalovirus infection, antiviral treatment is required. At present, the main drug of choice is ganciclovir, and the course of treatment is usually about 2-4 weeks, depending on the patient’s condition.
