Recovery from vertigo usually takes a few days

The recovery time of vertigo generally varies from seconds to days, and central vertigo can even last for years, depending on the individual. Depending on the nature of vertigo, vertigo can be clinically classified into systemic vertigo and non-systemic vertigo. Systemic vertigo is caused by lesions of the vestibular system and is the main cause of vertigo, which can be accompanied by nystagmus, balance and hearing impairment; non-systemic vertigo is caused by systemic diseases rather than lesions of the vestibular system, such as hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, anemia and depression. Vertigo is divided into peripheral vertigo and central vertigo, which are caused by peripheral and nuclear lesions of the vestibular system, respectively, depending on the location of the lesion. Peripheral vertigo generally has a rapid onset, short duration and is more serious; central vertigo has a slower onset and is generally not serious, but has a longer duration. Vertigo should usually pay attention to regular work and rest, avoid staying up late and overworking, avoid spicy and stimulating food, and properly strengthen sports and exercise to improve body resistance.
