Mumps heals itself in a few days

Whether or not mumps heals spontaneously or for how long depends on the type of mumps and cannot be generalized. There are two main types of mumps: mumps and mumps suppurative. Mumps is mainly caused by a viral infection, which is contagious and affects both parotid glands, and is common in children and adolescents. It is a self-limiting disease that can heal on its own. Purulent mumps is mainly caused by bacterial infections, mostly unilateral, and may present with local redness and swelling of the parotid area, pressure pain, fluctuating sensation in the late stage, often accompanied by redness and pain at the mouth of the duct, and pus outflow from the mouth of the duct after squeezing the parotid gland, the course of the disease is usually about 1 week, and usually does not heal on its own, if not treated in time, it can easily turn into chronic inflammation or cause other complications. It is recommended that no matter what kind of mumps you have, you should seek medical attention and treatment to avoid aggravation or complications. In addition, it is important to take rest, drink more water, and increase physical activity to promote recovery.
