Pre- and post-operative considerations for painless abortion

  1. Pre-operative instructions: 1. Follow the doctor’s instructions before surgery, make an appointment for surgery, bring medical records, test sheets and ultrasound sheets, and inform the doctor of any heart, lung, kidney or other diseases and infectious diseases.  2.Fast food and water from 12:00 p.m. the night before surgery to the day of surgery.  3.At 8:00 a.m. on the day of surgery, wait in line at the nurse’s station (front desk) of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic on the 3rd floor, and listen to the nurse’s instructions to prepare for the surgery.  4.Empty urine and stool before the operation, and pad with sanitary napkins.  5. Second, post-operative precautions: 1, post-operative sexual intercourse is prohibited. Swimming. Bathtub. Vaginal douche for 1 month, shower, keep the vulva dry and clean to avoid pelvic infection.  2. Avoid driving on the day after surgery. Biking. Work at height, etc. After going home, take more rest and avoid exertion, it is recommended to take a full rest for 2 weeks.  3.After waking up from anesthesia (generally about 2 hours after surgery), you can eat and drink, avoid drinking a lot of water or eating to prevent nausea and vomiting. It is recommended to eat light and nutritious food, (such as fish. Lean meat. Chicken. Eggs.) and foods high in vitamins (vegetables and fruits). Avoid eating cold and raw foods during vaginal bleeding. Spicy and stimulating foods, avoid foods that activate the blood, such as ginseng. Deer antler. Wine, etc.  4.A small amount of vaginal bleeding will occur after surgery. Please return to the hospital promptly for follow-up if the following conditions occur: (1) Vaginal bleeding continues for 10 days and is not clean.  (2) The amount of vaginal bleeding is more than the usual amount of menstruation.  (3) There is lower abdominal pain. Fever. White abnormalities, etc.  5. Return to the hospital 2 weeks after the operation for a follow-up ultrasound. Generally, menstruation will resume in a month or so after the operation, and will be repeated after the menstruation is clean.  6, after the operation, please follow the doctor’s instructions for medication, avoid using other drugs on their own.  7.After the abortion, the ovaries will soon resume ovulation function. Please use reasonable and correct contraceptive methods, such as IUD, oral contraceptive pills, condoms, etc., and avoid multiple abortions.
