Red blood is a common problem for people with sensitive, hormone-dependent dermatitis, and its care is very troublesome and can only be solved by laser surgery in severe cases. This article is divided into two parts, the front says the cause, know the principle of daily care to help take normal methods to prevent the appearance of red blood, aggravated; the back says the type and treatment, so that there is red blood in the shoes of children reference.
A, the causes of red blood cells
As you know, the upper layer of our skin is the epidermis, which mainly plays a protective role (barrier), and the lower layer is the dermis, which provides nutritional functions and carries out related physiological activities. Within the dermis, there are a large number of small blood vessels and capillaries, which are used to transport nutrients and carry away waste. The walls of capillaries are so thin that the thinnest blood vessels allow only one red blood cell to pass through (Figure below), which can be as thin as a cicada’s wing.
Many physiological and pathological factors can cause capillaries and small blood vessels to dilate. In women, the epidermis itself is thinner, so once the blood vessels are dilated, the walls become thinner, and blood flow increases, more redness can be seen with the naked eye, which is the underlying cause of redness.
The main causes of vasodilation are.
1, neurological and psychological factors: tension, excitement, excitement, anger;
2, physical factors: heat, cold, sun exposure, friction (mechanical force);
3, chemical factors: acid, alkali, salt
4, pathological factors: bacterial infection, skin damage and other inflammation
5, wrong skin care factors: excessive skin care, excessive exfoliation, excessive visits to beauty salons to do care, resulting in epidermal thinning, skin damage and fragile barrier function. This factor is the most common in the current daily routine, so it must be the focus of attention.
Why does wrong skin care cause redness?
The main layer of the epidermis that plays a protective role is the stratum corneum. When the stratum corneum is too thin and loses enough protection, the blood vessels in the dermis are susceptible to the various stimuli mentioned above and dilate (erythema). If unfortunately you lack VC, collagen, insufficient vascular elasticity, or if the stimulus is too strong, the blood vessels may rupture and the red blood cells leak out. The picture shows that the red blood cells are leaking out of the pore vessels, die, and the heme in them turn into heme flavin, which becomes part of the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation ( The other part is melanin synthesized due to melanocytes being more active in inflammatory conditions).
Second, the typing and treatment of red blood cells.
1, dangerous edge type
Description: Strictly speaking this is not red blood, but a prelude to red blood, understanding helps prevent it, so it is described here. This type of skin has no major problems, white and red, often praised for its good skin. If you look closely up close, you can see vague redness, and in cases of friction and irritation, a visible red mass will appear, but it will recover more quickly after the irritating factors disappear. This is the type that is at the edge of danger.
Cause: The epidermis is too thin. Exfoliation is diligent, but not yet damaged to the point of being unbearable, which is often the case. Some people are also born with it.
Care: Avoid stimulation, do not exfoliate, rub less, avoid using irritating skin care products, and generally recover on their own.
2.Flushing type
Description: The skin is prone to extensive flushing under mild stimulation, even in the absence of any stimulation. Can not see the obvious filiform blood vessels, just red. After the stimulus is eliminated, the redness takes a while to recede, and under successive stimuli (such as daily heating), the flushing continues or worsens and does not disappear, but the skin has no other problems, such as flaking or seborrhea.
Cause: The skin is already slightly inflamed or moderately damaged, and the epidermis is already very thin. The usual lack of sun protection, excessive skin care, and excessive exfoliation to a certain degree is this. It may be accompanied by a rash – note that this is not acne. This can also happen with improper post-procedure care such as laser treatments and fruit acid peels.
Treatment: Start by reviewing your skin care practices for appropriateness and the presence of the various irritating and damaging factors mentioned previously. Special Note: Please note that the preceding writes about persistence or aggravation. Blushing can also be caused by normal human physiological activities or environmental adaptations. Normal people can blush when they are excited, hot, cold, encountering their first love, or in a stuffy environment, but this is not the same as redness, as the redness can subside immediately after these factors are eliminated.
3.Continuous inflammatory type
Description: Skin is not only persistently red and rash, but also accompanied by flaking, seborrhea, and even infection, and stinging when using some cosmetics. This type is secondary to inflammation, and its root cause is inflammation, not redness or the barrier itself.
Causes: For those who have excessive skin care, mostly due to excessive skin stimulation and damage, the skin loses sufficient defense, leading to bacterial infections, fungal infections, etc., and in some cases, pustules. Another category of normal skin is infected and inflamed due to certain factors, as inflammation leads to redness of the skin. Common ones are seborrheic dermatitis, hormone dependent dermatitis mixed with fungal infection inflammation. Rosacea and perioral dermatitis can also cause redness of the skin and are common flies. In general, I think the inflammatory type cannot be considered redness, but: it can lead to redness.
Treatment: First review whether there has been excessive skin care and irritation factors, remove such factors first, then depending on the severity decide to seek medical attention or self-treatment with some common medications to control inflammation (common ones are: Celebrex lotion to deal with fungus, tea tree / lavender pure lotion pure lotion / Huang Lian Huang Bai bitter ginseng for fighting inflammation caused by bacteria, boric acid coating to deal with simple inflammation, etc.).
When the situation improves, repair products (ceramide, sphingolipids, vitamin C, VB3, EGF, allantoin, etc.) are used.
4.Arachnoid type (telangiectasia)
Description: The most severe type, with tight, shiny, thin skin, visible to the naked eye as thick, bright red, dense as a spider web of red blood. The enlargement of this redness is permanent – it is clearly visible without irritants and even more so with irritants.
Cause: Substantial enlargement of blood vessels. Usually a consequence of hormone-dependent dermatitis, sunburn, rosacea, etc.
Treatment: Difficult to treat with skin care products, but fortunately there are now lasers or intense pulsed light that can handle it more perfectly. Through photothermal action, these blood vessels are closed and blood can no longer pass through. The picture below is an example provided by Mr. Zhang Guowei, and the recovery effect is quite good.
For all red blooded skin, the following general rules apply.
1.Strict sun protection – must be hard sun protection oriented, use sunscreen only as a last resort
2, avoid the various damage, irritation factors listed in the previous article;
3, absolutely prohibit exfoliation, to use mild skin care products;
4, avoid going to the beauty salon to do intensive care;
5, supplement collagen, vitamin C, vitamin E, B, other antioxidants;
6, avoid eating spicy food, especially chili peppers. Drink green tea and other foods that can help anti-inflammatory;
7, prohibit the use of makeup, makeup remover products;
8, winter or in a dry environment, pay attention to improve environmental humidity.
9, if there are infections, parasites and other causes, these primary causes should be removed; for substantial vasodilatation, should seek medical means to help.
