Pre-visit considerations for infertility

Infertility patients are often consulted about the preparation, timing and precautions before the consultation. I have summarized them in the hope that they will be helpful to you: 1. Both spouses should come together for the first consultation to facilitate the detection of the problem. The female partner is not menstruating; the male partner is better to visit the clinic three to seven days before the ejaculation. If you have been seen before, you should bring your previous medical records and test sheets to avoid unnecessary repeat examinations and save on examination costs. The male side includes: routine semen examination, records of surgeries related to the genitourinary system, etc.; the female side includes: iodine oil film of the uterus and fallopian tubes and report card, surgical records of pelvic surgery, records of previous ovulation monitoring, medical records of ovulation promotion medication, etc. 3. The time of female infertility examination must follow the menstrual cycle, please strictly follow the time informed by the doctor. Routine examination time includes: 1. The day of menstrual bleeding is the first day of the cycle, and the basic reproductive endocrine level of the female partner is checked on the 2nd to 5th day of the cycle; 2. The cervical mucus test, such as the post-coital test, will be performed around the day of ovulation; 6. The progesterone level will be checked by blood sampling around 7 days after ovulation; 7. Fourth, in order to improve the fluency and quality of the doctor-patient communication, it is advisable for you to recall the situation of your menstrual cycle, including the cycle of menstrual cycle, period, volume of menstruation, and any special medication situation. V. Communication with the doctor is recommended to understand the following: how you need to cooperate to benefit your condition and when to follow up.
