The patient was a young female who felt frequent urination. A mass was found on abdominal ultrasound and further CT examination suggested a huge pelvic mass, cystic in nature, as shown in the figure below. Director Wang Baosheng of the Department of Pancreatic Breast Surgery (General Surgery Ward 9) of Shengjing Hospital admitted the patient and found that the boundary of the mass was very clear. The mass was successfully removed under laparoscopy and the postoperative pathology confirmed the teratoma. The patient was successfully discharged 3 days after surgery, leaving only 4 small scars of less than 1 cm on the abdominal wall and no large incisions, so it can be said that the surgical treatment was completed in a minimally invasive and cosmetic way.
