What should students do about myopia?

The problem of student myopia is not to be underestimated, and it is not unusual for students to be nearsighted, and it is not uncommon for children of six or seven years old to wear thick glasses in school. The first step is to identify the causes of myopia in students. Many parents of myopic students have high levels of myopia, a condition that is likely to be caused by genetic factors. Genetics plays an important role in the problem of myopia, and it is difficult to say whether a particular child has a genetic predisposition to myopia or not. Although the parents do not wear glasses, it is possible that the grandparents are myopic or have this factor that does not show up. In terms of understanding heredity, the average person can understand which part of the child looks like the father and which part looks like the mother. In fact, the same is true in a specific organ like the eye. The eye is a very delicate thing, and it also receives genetic influence from the parents as to whether each part of its individual structure is normal and whether the parts are well matched. If this is the cause of myopia in children, there is nothing particularly effective to do but to take measures from the point of view of controlling vision. Again poor eye habits lead to myopia in elementary school children. This can be avoided by parents teaching their children to develop good eye habits in their daily lives. For example, train children to develop a good writing posture, research shows that more than 90% of teenagers myopia is due to long time to see near objects and eye overwork caused by eye axis elongation, refractive error. So it is vital to develop good sitting and writing habits; teach children to learn to relax their eyes and regulate their vision. In the morning in a place with fresh air, stand naturally, look at the distant target with both eyes flat, and retract the gaze from the original and near to about 35 cm from the eyes. Repeat this several times; create an ideal eye environment for your child, pay attention to a reasonable diet and participate in more sports activities, etc., which are all beneficial to your child’s vision recovery.
