There is no scientific basis for the claim that marriage can relieve the symptoms of abdominal pain during menstruation. In the case of non-organic abdominal pain during menstruation, it may be related to a change in lifestyle after marriage, a reduction in abdominal pain due to the resolution of psychological burdens and tensions during menstruation, or the relaxation of the birth canal due to pregnancy and childbirth, which is also a factor in the smooth discharge of menstrual blood.
For menstrual pain caused by organic pathologies, marriage and childbirth may alleviate the symptoms of menstrual pain or aggravate them. For example, in patients with endometriosis/adenomyosis, marriage and childbirth will stabilise the lesion and relieve menstrual abdominal pain for a period of time; however, in cases of pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis with fibroids, etc., frequent sex may aggravate menstrual abdominal pain.
