Bite by the family dog a little skin is okay

A little skin bite by a domestic dog is usually not a significant problem if it is treated promptly. If the skin is scratched by a domestic dog, the damage is locally lost as a protective barrier and the virus can invade through the skin. If the domestic dog is strictly vaccinated on a daily basis, the possibility of carrying rabies virus cannot be ruled out. There is no good treatment for rabies, so rabies vaccination is especially important. Rabies vaccinations given within 24 hours usually do not present a significant problem. Post-exposure prophylaxis is required after being bitten by a domestic dog, regardless of the degree of breakage, and attention to daily conditioning and a light diet during this time.
