Do I have to be treated for mycoplasma vaginalis infection?

Mycoplasma positive can be left untreated if it does not turn negative once or twice, it does not matter much. Mycoplasma is also found in the normal vagina. Currently, there are some patients in the clinic who are suffering from repeated treatment without achieving negative results. In fact, many patients are over-treated, both because of misconceptions about this pathogenic infection and because individual clinics and hospitals do not regulate the use of drugs due to certain economic interests. There is also often a certain amount of false positives in the tests. If the clinical treatment is still positive and the cleanliness of vaginal secretions is normal, you can stop treatment. Don’t always worry about mycoplasma, cervical examinations and cytologic smears or colposcopy should be done once a year.
