Daily treadmill exercise at 60-65% of the target exercise intensity of the ultimate intensity for 45-50 min, necessarily aerobic, immediately followed by a set of 10-15 min of upper arm activities (e.g., dumbbells, pullers, etc.). If the subject is confined to a wheelchair, it is recommended that aerobic exercise be performed in the wheelchair at the same intensity and for the same duration, and that the subject use crutches to get down and walk whenever possible. Aerobic exercise should be performed in a manner that does not challenge the limits and can be sustained for a longer period of time, such as jogging, brisk walking, going up and down steps, etc. Exercises such as chest expansion, abdominal breathing, deep inhalation, and blowing up balloons to exercise the respiratory muscles. Low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet: that is, protein, carbohydrate and fat intake of energy accounted for 25-30%, 30-35% and 35-40% of total intake, respectively.
