Symptoms of ADHD

  Pediatric ADHD, medically known as mild brain dysfunction syndrome or mild brain dysfunction, is a common abnormal behavioral disorder in children. Its etiology is complex and may be related to a variety of factors such as genetics, birth injury, and environment. Children with this disorder suffer from inattention, excessive activity, impulsivity, and poor self-control, which may affect their academic performance. Children with ADHD have normal or basically normal intelligence and are often treated as normal, naughty children.  The specific symptoms of ADHD are as follows: (1) Difficulty in concentration and short attention span: The child often has difficulty sustaining attention while listening to lectures, doing homework or other activities. Mistakes are often made in learning or activities due to carelessness. (1) Difficulty in paying attention and short attention span: often have difficulty in sustaining attention when listening to lectures, doing homework or other activities.  (2) Excessive activity: Often seems restless, has many small movements, and has difficulty engaging in quiet activities or games.  (3) Impulsive behavior: Acts impulsively and recklessly, acts on the spur of the moment, and often gets into fights or disputes with peers. Interrupting or interrupting others when they are talking, impatiently answering questions before the teacher is finished, and not waiting patiently in line.  (4) Learning difficulties: Because the attention disorder and hyperactivity affect the patient’s effectiveness in listening in class, the speed and quality of completing homework, resulting in poor academic performance, which is often lower than the academic performance that should be achieved by the patient’s intelligence.  (5) Neurological signs: The development of fine motor, coordinated motor, and spatial location awareness is poor, and there are difficulties in hand turning and finger movement, and left-right discrimination. A small number of patients have delayed language development and poor language expression ability.
