Some chemotherapy drugs attack the body’s normal cells and can cause side effects such as sores on the hands and feet. Patients should clean their hands and feet well and use the appropriate skin care creams as prescribed by their doctor, or consult their doctor at the end of the course of treatment to see if they can change to other chemotherapy drugs.
