Health risks of obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome (OSAHS)

According to recent studies at home and abroad, OSAHS is closely related to a variety of major diseases, and if left untreated can lead to impaired function of important organs, significantly reduced quality of life, and even cause sudden death. OSAHS is mainly seen in the following aspects: 1, the incidence of stroke in OSAHS patients is three times higher than normal; 2, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction and arrhythmia are easily induced at night; 3, most of the patients with refractory hypertension have OSAHS; 4, about 1/3 of the patients have impotence and hypogonadism; 5, the incidence of other related diseases increases; 6, traffic accidents are easily caused when driving due to drowsiness. Therefore, patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome (OSAHS) pose a great health risk and must be given wide attention and treated promptly.
