What should I do if I have pain in my chest from breathing after a fall?

Do not panic if you experience chest pain after a fall. Firstly, identify the part of the body you have landed on, whether it is the chest and whether the chest pain is related to deep breathing/coughing. Therefore, if you have landed on your chest or have chest pain related to breathing that does not subside after a fall, you should go to the emergency room in a timely manner and have a chest X-ray done to determine if there are any rib fractures or pneumothorax. If a rib fracture or pneumothorax has occurred, it should be treated promptly.
