The best time to repair scars in children

Children themselves belong to the growth and development period and have strong skin growth ability, and the best time for their scars to be repaired is within six months after the scabs fall off, and the earlier the treatment, the better the effect, so as not to affect the aesthetics or lead to local functional disorders. If the scars are in the newly formed stage, early intervention treatment is needed, i.e. 3 days after the stitches are removed or the scabs fall off from the wound healing, anti-scar medication can be applied, such as topical cosmetic scar patches or mucopolysaccharide cream with polysulfate, to curb the formation or proliferation of scars, and the skin can usually recover better. If the scars have been formed for a longer period of time, treatment needs to be urgently carried out. Laser radiation therapy can be considered, and surgical treatment is required if the scars are severe. Within six months after the scabs fall off, parents must help their children to do a good job in daily care, try to keep them from scratching the affected area, avoid sun exposure, and eat a light diet, avoiding spicy and stimulating foods.
