Drugs for rapid heart rate

Drugs used to treat rapid heart rate include metoprolol, bisoprolol, carvedilol, digoxin, sitiram, amiodarone, diltiazem, ivabradine, etc. Rapid heart rate increases the oxygen consumption of the heart muscle and induces acute cardiovascular events. Rapid heart rate is recommended to go to the hospital for examination to clarify the cause of rapid heart rate and to treat according to the cause. Common causes of rapid heart rate include anemia, fever, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, and shock. According to the different causes of rapid heart rate, drugs to reduce the ventricular rate should be applied selectively. For the increased heart rate caused by heart failure, digoxin and cetiran can be chosen. For hyperthyroidism, metoprolol and bisoprolol can be used. For patients with combined bronchial asthma and increased heart rate, Ivabradine can be chosen. Tachycardia caused by anemia and fever will be improved after correction of anemia and reduction of body temperature.
