All children must be treated for amblyopia. 20-40 years old: excimer keratomileusis can be considered for low refractive error; refractive IOL implantation can be performed for high refractive error; refractive lens removal and IOL implantation can also be chosen for high myopia over 40 years old or for those who have developed complications of cataracts.
