1.1-3 weeks after surgery: fix the long leg plaster brace, support the crutches to carry out appropriate activities; after the incision heals, remove the plaster brace daily, put the Achilles tendon area in warm water soak (or Chinese medicine fumigation treatment), massage the Achilles tendon, do not do ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion movement; must wear the plaster brace when sleeping daily. 2.4 weeks after surgery: change the plaster brace for the short leg (saw the long leg plaster brace to 3cm below the fibula, and start to let the knee joint move). Remove the plaster brace daily, put the Achilles tendon area in warm water soak (or Chinese medicine fumigation treatment), massage the Achilles tendon, do ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion activities appropriately; must wear the plaster brace when sleeping daily. 3.After 5 weeks postoperative: all rehabilitation contents of 4 weeks postoperative + exercise contents of foot roller. Physical factor therapy to soften the scar and loosen the adhesions. 4.After 6-8 weeks postoperatively: remove the plaster posterior support of the short leg, walk in shoes, and put a 2.5-3cm high heel pad between the heel and the sole of the shoe when walking, and improve the proprioceptive function as well as the stability of the joint through balance training. During this period, the strain on the postoperative Achilles tendon should be prevented by falls or sudden stomping movements. 5.After 9-12 weeks postoperatively: walk on the whole foot and practice ankle function so that the mobility of the ankle joint is completely normal. Start practicing the strength of the calf triceps, at first you can practice bipedal heel lifting, gradually increase the burden on the affected limb, and eventually transition to single foot heel lifting. At this point, people who are engaged in easier work can start working. This period should still prevent falls or sudden stomping action on the postoperative Achilles tendon strain. 6, 13-24 weeks after surgery: continue to practice the single-footed heel, correct residual ankle plantarflexion or dorsiflexion disorder, start jogging on the whole foot, and gradually restore the flexibility of the ankle joint and calf triceps muscle strength and circumference. At this point, athletes can begin to participate in small-volume training, and those who are engaged in medium physical work can participate in work. Improve the function of muscles and joints through isometric muscle strength training. 7.After 24 weeks after surgery: athletes can participate in formal training, and general population can participate in heavy physical labor.
