Symptoms: Restricted capillary dilation, manifested as dotted or small spherical red neoplasms, protruding from the skin surface, some surrounded by radially dilated capillaries, shaped like spiders, hence the name spider nevus. Vascular nevus is common in children, and can increase in pregnancy or chronic liver disease, and its development factor is related to excessive estrogen. Treatment: Pulsed fuel laser treatment is effective; continuous argon laser treatment is available for larger spider nevi.
