Is it okay to be stung by a hornet without treatment?

Hornet stings should be treated promptly, as failure to do so may affect the control of the condition. Bee needles generally contain toxins, and the needles may be implicated in the hornet’s internal tissues, which can easily cause infection, so any person stung by a hornet needs to be treated. A small number of patients clinically stung by hornets may experience severe symptoms, such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, and kidney failure, due to allergies or other reasons, requiring hospitalization. Patients can take oral antihistamines, such as loratadine and cetirizine, under the guidance of a doctor during treatment, which can effectively reduce allergy and inflammatory reactions.
