Patients with fibroids can eat onions, which are common vegetables, vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. Onions do not cause fibroids to grow or degenerate and have no effect on the progression of fibroids. Patients with fibroids should eat less hormone-rich food, as the occurrence of fibroids is related to the hormone level in the body. It is recommended to have a pelvic ultrasound every six months to see if the fibroids have changed in size. The patient’s menstrual period and self-perceived symptoms should also be taken into account to decide whether treatment for fibroids is needed.
