Can frequent teeth cleaning damage my teeth?

What is commonly referred to as scaling is medically known as ultrasonic scaling. Ultrasonic scaling is the use of an ultrasonic scaling machine that places the working head on the tooth surface and removes tartar from different parts of the tooth surface through ultrasonic vibration. The working head gently touches the tartar to achieve rapid tartar fragmentation. Therefore, ultrasonic scaling does not cause damage to the teeth. Frequent scaling means regular visits to the dental department of a dental specialty hospital or a general hospital. Ultrasonic scaling is performed by a professional dentist. It is medically recommended that people with healthy periodontium should go to a regular hospital for ultrasonic scaling every six months to a year to prevent the occurrence of periodontal diseases; with periodontal diseases such as bleeding from brushing, swelling of the dental bed and other symptoms, they should go to a specialist hospital for treatment at any time. After ultrasonic scaling, some pigment and fine tartar will remain on the tooth surface, and you may feel some roughness on the tooth surface, so you should polish the tooth surface with a polisher after ultrasonic scaling. This will make the surface of the teeth shiny and smooth, and delay the re-adhesion of tartar to the teeth. Can dental scaling transmit diseases? Is scaling dangerous to the whole body? In regular hospitals, there are strict sterilization facilities and sterilized heads are used to ensure one person. The disinfection method of the heads is preferable to high-temperature and autoclaving sterilization, individually packaged. This can avoid cross-infection of diseases such as hepatitis between patients and between doctors and patients. As long as these things are done, it should be said that scaling is safe. Therefore, we recommend that you should go to a regular hospital to have your teeth cleaned. Proper scaling is not harmful to the body, it has the effect of treating various periodontal diseases and ensuring their effectiveness to prevent recurrence. Regular dental cleaning can also protect the teeth. Prevent the occurrence of periodontal diseases and maintain oral hygiene.
