How are abdominal aortic aneurysms treated?

Endoluminal isolation of abdominal aortic aneurysm Case 1: 70-year-old male Pre-stenting imaging showed abdominal aortic aneurysm with a maximum diameter of approximately 7 cm. After stenting, the lumen of the abdominal aortic aneurysm was not visualized and the risk of life-threatening aneurysm rupture was relieved. 2 years of follow-up have elapsed and recovery is good with no blood flow entering the aneurysm lumen. Case 2: 74-year-old female with a giant abdominal aortic aneurysm, bilateral common and internal iliac artery aneurysms with a maximum diameter of about 9 cm. The aneurysm disappeared after intracavitary stent isolation of the abdominal aorta, embolization of the internal iliac artery, closure of the left common iliac artery, and right femoral artery-left femoral artery bypass grafting (AUI surgical approach).
