How to treat dislocation of the jaw joint

Most of them can be reset after relieving the patient’s tension or after local massage of the occlusal or temporal muscles. If the patient is too tense, manual repositioning can be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. If repositioning is not possible under anesthesia, incisional repositioning is also feasible. Patients with habitual dislocation can also be seen in the clinic, which is relatively easy to rectify, because the joint capsule and ligament laxity can lead to habitual dislocation, and can be treated surgically. Surgery can be performed by arthroscopic ligament and capsule reinforcement or by condylar supracondylar resection, arthrogryposis, and arthrogryposis augmentation.
