How is vertigo diagnosed and treated?

Many people will encounter vertigo in their lives, black in front of their eyes, they will fall or a moment, in the end, what is happening to vertigo? How to prevent vertigo? What is vertigo all about? Vertigo is a common problem that people often encounter, whether they are teenagers or elderly people most of them have experienced vertigo in their lifetime, so probably let’s talk about how to avoid vertigo in daily life. Some hard workers let their bodies rest well, work in dusty places with bad air and lack of water, and get vertigo after a long time, causing brain fatigue and lack of oxygen and water, and then go to places with good air to rest, such as parks, take a walk and so on. If you feel sleepy, sleep is the best way to let the brain recover. IT computer workers face the computer for a long time, the computer radiation shining, because of the work of the brain, eyes constantly thinking and running at high speed, it is easy to cause dizziness, the best way is not to sleep, because sleep will still wake up dizzy. The right way is to leave the computer, go for a walk outside, stretch, etc. If possible, give yourself a few days off and go out to participate in some of your favorite outdoor activities is a good way. Eat more food, eat more food, drink water on time, do not picky food. Never work hungry, you will feel dizzy and dizzy when you are hungry. When you have a cold, you may get vertigo, so rest well, don’t catch a cold, take your medicine and drink plenty of water on time, and you will recover. Smoking and drinking too much alcohol can damage the nervous system and cause vertigo over time, although it will be better after sobering up, but it may have side effects after a long day. So drink as little as possible. If you don’t smoke, try to leave the place where there is a lot of smoke. Symptoms of vertigo 1. Deafness can occur unconsciously in the early stage of deafness, and it becomes obvious after many episodes of vertigo. Usually deafness is unilateral, but occasionally deafness in both ears may occur. The deafness is aggravated during vertigo attacks and gets better during intervals. 2. At the beginning, tinnitus patients will feel a low-pitched blowing tinnitus by their ears, and it will become high-pitched persistent tinnitus after a long time. When vertigo attacks, the tinnitus situation will suddenly intensify, and the degree of tinnitus will naturally reduce or disappear in the interval. 3. Head swelling and fullness sensation During an attack of vertigo, some patients have a feeling of swelling, heaviness and pressure in the affected head or ear, or a burning sensation around the ear. Nystagmus is observed in the patient’s eyes at the climax of the attack, and involuntary fluttering with fast and slow phases can be seen in general. 4. Vertigo is mostly sudden rotational vertigo. When the eyes are open, you will feel the surrounding objects rotate in a certain direction and plane, or produce the feeling of swaying from side to side. The above symptoms will be reduced when the eyes are closed. Therefore, during an attack, the patient often takes a certain position and lies still with the eyes closed, not daring to turn. Although the patient sometimes falls to the ground due to shock, the patient’s consciousness is completely clear. Patients often experience nausea and vomiting, pallor, cold sweats, and a drop in blood pressure, which may resolve after a few minutes or hours. The symptoms disappear and the patient moves into an intermittent period. The length of the interval varies from person to person, from those who have only one attack in their lifetime to those who have repeated multiple attacks. 5. Nystagmus is observed in the patient’s eyes at the climax of the attack, and involuntary fluttering with fast and slow phases can usually be seen. 6.Neural deafness hearing examination shows sensorineural deafness. 7. Cervicogenic vertigo manifests as metamorphic vertigo. The attacks are usually brief, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, but there are cases with longer duration. Pain in the neck or posterior occipital region may occur in the morning. If the vertigo is of various forms, it is accompanied by dizziness, swaying, unsteadiness, floating sensation and other sensations. The recurrence of vertigo is obviously related to sudden head rotation, i.e. it occurs mostly when the neck is moving, and sometimes presents sitting up or lying down when what prevents vertigo Correctly treats rest and exercise The acute period of vertigo requires bed rest. After the acute period, there are two kinds of recovery, one is that the feeling of rotation passes instantly, or it is healed after waking up; the other is that after the severe vertigo disappears, it still continues to have dizziness, unstable gait and dare not walk around. If long-term bed rest does not work, patients should be encouraged to get out of bed, which is not only helpful to build confidence and maintain optimism, but also improve vestibular adaptability through exercise. Build up confidence and insist on exercise Appropriate exercise is necessary for vertigo with severe impairment of vestibular function on one side, and it is even the only effective way to eliminate vertigo and obtain rebalance of vestibular function, and some scholars believe that its effect is even higher than drug treatment. The method is to choose several movements and postures that stimulate vertigo and to exercise them repeatedly so that the center receives abnormal stimuli several times and gradually becomes accustomed to them. Once the abnormal impulses are transformed into normal impulses, the vertigo disappears. For example, many seafarers are not accustomed to drifting at sea when they first board a ship, and the vestibular organs of the inner ear are abnormally stimulated, and vertigo, nausea and vomiting occur. But as time goes by, the center regards this abnormal stimulation as normal stimulation, and after a period of time, vertigo, nausea and vomiting no longer occur. This is an example of how vertigo disappears through exercise.
