Gum bleeding may occur during the cleaning process due to inflammation of the gums. If you still see blood in your saliva for more than a day, you should see a doctor for examination and treatment. Patients who do not have regular cleanings may experience hot and cold sensitivity for a month or longer after the cleaning process, so please be careful not to eat too cold or too hot. Avoid staining of teeth with colored foods and drinks after sandblasting and polishing. Patients with periodontal disease (manifested as: bleeding from brushing, bad breath, red and swollen gums, exposed roots, deformed and loose teeth, weakness in chewing, etc.) should visit the periodontist for follow-up examination and further treatment (such as subgingival scaling, etc.) one week after cleaning.
